Everyone has to be able to read a policy.
Insurance information is often needed under pressure. This site is built to be usable with a keyboard, with a screen reader, at high zoom and on a slow connection.
The standard we build to
We aim to meet the WCAG 2.2 AA success criteria. That is a target we design and test against rather than a certification, and we do not claim third-party verification.
What that means in practice
- Semantic landmarks and a single, logical heading order on every page
- A skip link that is hidden until it receives keyboard focus, then clearly visible
- Visible focus outlines on every interactive element
- Form labels tied to their fields, with errors announced and focus moved to the first problem
- Text and interface colours checked for contrast against the paper and ink surfaces
- Descriptive alternative text on photography, and decorative marks hidden from assistive technology
- Layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling at 200% zoom and at small viewport widths
- Motion limited to short transitions, and removed entirely when the operating system requests reduced motion
Known limitations
Typefaces are loaded from an external service, so on a very slow connection text may briefly render in a fallback font before the intended one arrives. Content remains readable throughout.
