What this website is, and is not.
These terms govern use of this website. They do not affect the terms of any insurance policy, which are set out in the documents issued by the insurer.
General information only
Everything published here is general information about classes of insurance and how insurance contracts commonly work. It is not advice, it does not take account of your circumstances, and it should not be relied on as a description of any particular policy.
Advice means a recommendation made to you, in writing, after we have understood your situation. Nothing on a public web page can meet that description.
Nothing here confirms cover
No page on this site confirms that a policy exists, that a risk is insured, that a loss is covered, or that a claim will be met. Cover exists only where an insurer has confirmed it, and responds only in accordance with the wording, schedule, endorsements, limits, conditions and exclusions of that policy.
No pricing, and no promise of terms
This site does not quote prices, compare insurers or indicate savings. Whether terms are available for a given risk, and on what basis, is a matter for insurers and is determined after a presentation has been made to them.
Enquiries
An enquiry sent to advice@aldergate.example does not create a client relationship, does not amount to an application for insurance, and does not constitute notification of a claim to any insurer.
Accuracy and changes
We take care over what is published, but insurance practice and market conditions change. Pages may be updated at any time without notice, and information may become out of date.
