Moving, buying or renovating
Rebuild costs and cover during works are the two items that most often lag behind reality.
Personal insurance
Most household policies fail at the edges rather than the middle, such as an unoccupied period, an item above an inner limit, a use of a vehicle that was never declared. We start with those.

Class of use, named drivers and mileage are the disclosures that carry the most weight.
Jewellery, art and collections usually need scheduling or a standalone policy.
Occupancy and declared medical history are the variables insurers weigh most heavily.
Availability of any class of cover depends on the risk presented and on insurers' own criteria. Nothing here is an offer of insurance or a statement that cover can be arranged for a particular address, vehicle or individual.
Before you enquire
A renewal notice and last year's schedule are usually enough to begin. Valuations, rebuild assessments and claims history can follow once we know what we are looking at.
Please do not send identity documents, bank details, card numbers or medical records through the enquiry form. If an insurer needs them later, they will be collected through that insurer's own process.
